Ooh, Alice in Murderland chapter 30 has been published in Aria 5 on March 28. A fight is ongoing since the previous chapter: Alice is opposing Mare again, then at the end of this chapter his/her twin Sol shows his true face: he'd own the power of fire?! Chapter 31 will be published in the next issue of Aria, on April 28.

Hi... time flies! Nothing wow today, I only updated info about Alice in Murderland (something that I also do without warning at times) and scanned anew the latest book covers, they now look closer to the real thing. I also added the atogakis of these same books (4 to 7).

Now a glimpse at the upcoming releases:

In Japan, volume 8 is most likely to be expected in late summer... Kaori Yuki sensei did not write new chapters recently - what is uncommon - and I didn't find anything about the matter (yet).

Good evening, I opened my scanner today in order to bring you some new pictures from the manga Alice. On the menu: chapter 28 title page from the end of November, a couple of drawings of that same chapter, French atogakis from the manga and the comment in her Parasyte oneshot (in English ^^).

Among events launched and announced for the 10th anniversary of Code Geass successful anime, Kaori Yuki was invited to draw an illustration for a lottery where there will be 22 kinds of items to win. Tickets will be sold from December 3rd, 2016 for 1000 ¥ in Japanese bookstores, hobby shops and amusement parcs. Kaori Yuki made Lelouch and C.C. The prizes to win are:

• A : big memorial acryl board, 28 cm
• B : big acryl board of Lelouch of the rebellion, 28 cm
• C : memorial booklet, 14 pages, B4 sized with 2 pages spread illustrations (2 different to be chosen)
  • Booklet #1: contains one illustration per following guest: naked ape, Hiro Mashima (Fairy Tail), Atsushi Ohkubo (Soul Eater), Kaori Yuki
  • Booklet #2: contains older Code Geass illustrations

Hi there! I haven't posted anything here for quite a long time, that's because I'm very busy since September and it won't change anytime soon... But no worries I keep an eye on the matter, and don't forget that I also use Twitter to give news.

Alice in Murderland owns 27 chapters in Japan (6 volumes), and soon it will also count 3 volumes in France: Pika will publish #3 on November 30 (next Wednesday) and will then publish volume 4 on March 1st, 2017.

Now let's go back to Japan a little more... In Alice in Murderland chapter 26, we could witness the end of Alice's fight against Ibara the wrestler, you can see below a few (bloody) pages of that part. Then a new part begins: Stella confronting Alice, where Alice ends up taking control over Stella's body... In chapter 27, we finally get some knowledge about Alice's past, how she's been trained, thanks to our harmless little Stella aimlessly going "through the looking-glass".

When coming back from holidays I jumped onto the letterbox to take my copy of the latest Aria, all impatient I was to open it as I knew what to expect in there! The mag is 6 years old so Kaori Yuki sensei drew a little signed portrait of the current heroine Alice. With an incredible nice candy face...

Aria #9 also hides Alice in Murderland chapter 25, 41 pages including 1 pretty colourful title page, yay! The manga volume 6 has been released 1 week ago in Japan. Cover features Alice & Tsukito and the inner colour page shows Ibara, the wrestler sister of Stella that you can see below. Moreover, Animate edited a new limited card that you will get if you buy the volume 6 in one of their stores. Read preview here.

News, finally! This post will remain short for now, as I just moved to my new home where it's hectic at the moment (yes, one more time...). Alice in Murderland vol.1 (Kakei no Alice) has been released in France by Pika on the first of June, and vol.2 is to be expected on September the 7th.

In France right now, it is possible to get a couple of goods: a lovely tote bag of fair size (36 x 42 cm) when you buy at least 3 mangas from the French publisher of "Alice" in any French bookshop, and also a poster with the large colourful picture of chapter one in the magazine AnimeLand X-Tra n°42 released not long ago on June 25.

In Japan by the way, "Alice" volume 6 is already announced for August 5! Kaori Yuki sensei is really busy! The series reached chap.24 on June 28 and chap.25 will be out on July, as usual with 40 pages per chapter. For the curious ones, volume 6 story revolves around Tsukito then Ibara "the wrestler", big sister of Stella.

Volume 5 of Kakei no Alice (Alice in Murderland) has been released 3 days ago in Japan. As I said earlier, it focuses on male characters Zeno and Tsukito who are linked by their past, then a new character appears in the place: Cheshire (Cheshire Cat) wearing a cat-eared hood of course. Not much more to say yet.

It was a good occasion to update Kakei no Alice's galleries with: chapter 21 title page and some scans, previews of collector sheets (5 big sized pages copies to win through lottery in Japan) and of the "first press" card released along with volume 5, colour page of volume 5, a new sign and... that's all. Short little info, I'm currently helping with scanlating the Parasyte oneshot made in late 2014 by Kaori Yuki sensei. To be continued... ^^

I'll talk today about the American edition of Kakei no Alice, available since summer 2015 and from which I bought 2 volumes out of the 3 already released.

This edition is published by Yen Press, the look is very clean, its size is larger than Kodansha's original what is lovely to admire the beautiful pages from Kaori Yuki. Colourful illustrations have been kept and the print quality is very close to the original version. Lastly, cover is hard with a golden title written on the side, the end product looks quite luxuous. Colours and contrast on the sleeve are rather close to the original, however the American volume 1 sleeve is slightly too dark and volume 2 pink is not bright enough.

Along with this news I jumped on the occasion to scan and upload their atogaki. For Europeans: if you want to buy the US books, I would tell you to check out Amazon.co.uk: books will arrive faster than from Amazon.com and the final price of the parcel may be a bit cheaper (depending on euro change). In any case, please keep in mind that one book costs about 15-16 €, most certainly because of its size, hard cover and colourful page...
